The Fifth Annual Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week will be held Monday, August 19-Sunday, August 25, 2013. There are over thirty participating restaurants located throughout downtown Raleigh this year and you have a chance to win a $60 gift certificate to one of them! Read on for the details.

Here is some more information about this fun and tasty event from their press release:

"Downtown’s favorite dining event invites patrons to ignite their inner foodie and take advantage of the special offerings at the participating restaurants during their normal dinner hours. Diners can choose from old favorites to the latest culinary hot spots, from nationally-known gourmet gems to local, chef-owned bistros, from exotic Asian or Moroccan fare to Mexican, Cajun, Italian, and tapas.

The treasured culinary event will offer tantalizing, three-course prix fixe dinners for either $20 or $30 per person, depending on the venue (tax, tip, and beverages not included). Select venues will offer three-course beer or wine pairings for an additional $10 per person. Several venues will offer a $15 appetizer sampler featuring three appetizers with a selection of at least four options. Diners can browse the special menus and offerings on the Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week’s website."

No tickets are required for the event, but according to their website, reservations are strongly recommended. You can make reservations for most of the restaurants through their website.
