RALEIGH, N.C. — Sometimes all you need is a little "girl time." Get away from the boyfriend/spouse, your responsibilities and relax with some friends.

Here are our five fave picks for a great and unique girls night out in the Triangle:

Share a laugh - ComedyWorkx in Raleigh and the Raleigh Idiots at North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theater have improv shows. Goodnight's in Raleigh has stand-up and DSI Comedy in Carrboro has improv, stand-up and classes in each.
Pamper yourselves - Go to a salon bar like Primp or Junction for a manicure or pedicure. Each offer cocktails and a great atmosphere.
Dinner – Some of our favorite spots for a girls night out include Bella Monica, Relish and Battistella's.
A painting class presented by Wine and Design at North Hills Art Week on June 6 provides everything you need to paint a Yellow Tulips materpiece.
Get creative with classes - Try Wine and Design. Just bring your own bottle and sip while a local artist helps you and your friends create a work of art. If that isn't your speed, Ornamentea in Raleigh has jewelry-making classes and Southern Season in Chapel Hill offers cooking classes.
Jump - DefyGravity in Durham is a "Trampoline Sports Arena," offering wall-to-wall, steel-frame trampolines, an expansive foam pit and a dodgeball cage. They even have workout classes. Just be sure to make reservations if you want to go on a weekend or Friday or Saturday night for "Club Gravity," which features laser lights and music.
