An 11-year-old was injured Sunday evening in a go-carting accident in Apex.

<b>APEX, N.C.</b> — An 11-year-old was injured Sunday evening in a go-carting accident in Apex.

Police said the victim and her brother crashed into a pickup truck that was parked in a field off Green Level Church Road.

The girl got stuck under the truck in the mangled go-cart. Paramedics worked to free her and transport her to a nearby hospital.

She is expected to recover, paramedics said.
