Georgia man arrested for Dare County bomb threat
A Georgia man was arrested Thursday for a bomb threat made against the Dare County Justice Center earlier this month.

A Georgia man was arrested Thursday after authorities said he made a bomb threat against the Dare County Justice Center earlier this month.
Paul Anthony Wright, 32, of Hortense, Ga., was charged with threatening to kill a court office and making false reports concerning destructive devices by Brantley County, Ga., authorities. Wright is in Georgia awaiting extradition to Dare County for trial, the Dare County Sheriff's Office said.
The bomb threat was made Dec. 11 against Senior Resident Superior Court Judge Jerry Tillett and the Dare County Justice Center. Through phone records and interviews, the Dare County sheriff's investigators determined the suspect was in Georgia. After contacting Georgia authorities, investigators were able to issue a warrant for Wright. Dare County officials said additional arrests have not been ruled out, and the investigation is continuing. Officials did not offer a possible motive for the bomb threat.
