Funeral Arrangements Set for Siblings Killed in Siler City Fire

Funeral arrangments have been set for two brothers who died Monday in a Siler City fire.

SILER CITY, N.C. — Funeral arrangments have been set for two brothers who died in a Siler City fire.

Oswaldo Mendoza, 3, and Jose Manuel Mendoza Ocampo, 1, died from smoke inhalation Monday after a fire broke out at the home at Brookwood Apartments.

A wake will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hispanic Baptist Church in Pittsboro. A funeral for the two brothers will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, followed by a burial at Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
