The Oak City 7 will run on alternating Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Three local or regional acts will be on each bill, with genres including rock, folk, bluegrass and Americana.

It all starts this week with indie pop group Saints Apollo, alternative rock band Antique Firearms and country/Americana trio Tres Chicas.

Admission is free and there will be local and craft beers for sale on site.

OC7 is funded completely by sponsors, and hopes to encourage patrons to visit local bars, shops and restaurants before and after every show.
