LOUISBURG, N.C. — The Franklin County Board of Education has called for the county commissioners to set a bond referendum in August 2008.

School board members said most of the $53 million bond would pay for the construction of Franklinton High School, planned to be built near the intersection of Cedar Creek and Lane Store roads.

The remainder of the funds would be used for renovations at all other county schools, except the new Louisburg Elementary, school board members said.
