Fox bites girl at church preschool
A fox bit a 4-year-old girl attending preschool at a Durham church on Wednesday morning, police said.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — A fox bit a 4-year-old girl attending preschool at a Durham church on Wednesday morning, police said.
Officers responded to an animal bite call at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3639 Chapel Hill Road, at about 9:45 a.m. and found that a fox had bitten a girl at the church's preschool on the leg. Witnesses told police that the animal jumped a fence and chased the girl.
The fox was captured, and animal officers sent it to a lab for rabies testing.
The girl was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
