HENDERSON, N.C. — Four people, including three Vance County sheriff's deputies, were taken to a local hospital late Thursday after a hazmat situation at a home in Henderson.

Deputies responding to 104 Big Buck Road at about 11 p.m. discovered a white haze in the air when they entered a camper outside the home.

Medical personnel took three deputies and a person inside the camper to a local hospital, where they were treated and released.

Investigators said the substance that created the haze was a mix of household chemicals. No charges were filed in connection with the incident.
