Four people injured in Louisburg crash with tanker truck

Four people were seriously hurt after their car collided with a tanker truck carrying fuel in Franklin County on Tuesday morning.

LOUISBURG, N.C. — Four people were seriously hurt after their car collided with a tanker truck carrying fuel in Franklin County on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 8:55 a.m. on U.S. Highway 401 at Fuller Road in Louisburg.

Troopers said Margaret White, of Kittrell, turned from Fuller Road onto U.S. 401 and ended up southbound in the northbound lane. The tanker collided with the car, pinning White and her three passengers inside. They were all taken to WakeMed.

The driver of the tanker truck and his passenger did not suffer major injuries. No other information was released.
