Four injured while painting Robeson County church

Four men were injured Thursday while working on a church in Lumber Bridge.

LUMBER BRIDGE, N.C. — Four men were injured Thursday while working on a church in Lumber Bridge.

The men were painting Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church, at 400 N. Fayetteville St., when a ladder they were on came into contact with electrical wiring, said Lt. Reggie Strickland of the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

Luis Acatitla, 30, and Jose Tapia were treated and released.

Julio Campos, 19, was in stable condition Friday at the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill. Javier Pueros, 33, was in critical condition Friday at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.
