Four children were injured after two buses from Pathways Elementary School crashed into each other in Hillsborough on Tuesday afternoon.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Four children were injured after two buses from Pathways Elementary School crashed into each other in Hillsborough on Tuesday afternoon.

The students' injuries were not believed to be serious, according to Orange County Emergency Services. They were taken to Duke Hospital for treatment.

The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. near N.C. Highway 57 and Strouds Creek Road, near the school.

The driver of the second school bus will be charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, according to troopers.
