Four charged with stealing Jeep, selling it for scrap

Miguel Lamont Burden, 27, of 3405 Locklear St., was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, obtaining property by false pretenses, attempted larceny and felony possession of stolen goods. Nico Marcellus McCants, 19, of 7349 Hypony Trail in Parkton, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, obtaining property by false pretenses, possession of a stolen vehicle and felony conspiracy.

Calvin Lamont Thomas, 34, of 7337 Hypony Trail in Parkton, was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, larceny of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, driving while license revoked, possession of stolen goods, larceny of a motor vehicle, felony possession of a stolen vehicle and obtaining property by false pretenses. Jacqueline Burden, 31, of the same address, was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, obtaining property by false pretense and 21 other charges.

Investigators said the four stole a 1986 Jeep on Wednesday from a residence on the 3600 block of Camden Road and drove the vehicle to a local scrap metal shop, where it was sold and crushed.
