RALEIGH, N.C. — Four men have been charged with stealing scrap metal from a south Raleigh business that was damaged in Saturday's storms, police said Thursday.

Thomas Earl Williams, Morris Edward Barbour, Derrick Lamont Thompson and Tyrone Ellis were each charged Tuesday with trespassing during an emergency.

Police said the men stole from Coats Auto Body, at 1300 S. Saunders St., which was among a number of businesses and homes in south Raleigh that were hit by a tornado that skipped across Lee and Wake counties.
