RAEFORD, N.C. — Four people were arrested Friday after what law enforcement authorities are saying was one of the largest drug busts in Hoke County.

Officers with the Hoke County Special Operations and Drug Unit seized $397,134 in cash, an unspecified quantity of cocaine, a money counter, five cars and five guns, including an AK-47, from a home at 350 Purvis Court in Raeford.

"The investigation continues and shows that this is a major operation that extends outside the boundaries of Hoke County and the state of North Carolina," Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin said in a news release Monday.

Eusebio Ciriaco, 28, Jose Luis Hernande, 20, Alejandro Pano Fuentes, 37, and Javier Patricio Anecetu, 24, were each charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for a controlled substance and conspiracy to sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Each was jailed on a $1 million bond, and they are also being held on immigration detainers, authorities said.
