Fort Bragg solider dies in Afghanistan

A soldier from Fort Bragg died Tuesday in Afghanistan, the Army announced Friday.
Capt. John Tinsley, 28, of Tallahassee, Fla., was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He died in Kunar Province of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle.
Tinsley’s death brought to at least 18 the number of American military personnel who have died in Afghanistan in August, according to the independent Web site icasualties.org.
