Fort Bragg soldier killed in Spring Lake shooting

SPRING LAKE, N.C. — A man shot and killed on Monday at a mobile home at 1324 Alden St. in Spring Lake has been identified as a Fort Bragg soldier, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher Mitchell Bridges, 21, was assigned to an Army support unit at Fort Bragg.

Three others were wounded in the shooting. They have been identified as Norman V. Brown, 28, Tony Brown, 26, both of Spring Lake, and LaQuan Demar Whitted, 31, of Fayetteville.

All three were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
