Food truck rodeo, Crank Arm bash lead our best bets for this weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. — The top pick of this week has to be Sunday's Downtown Raleigh Food Truck Rodeo. More than 50 food trucks will be setting up from 4-9 p.m. so head on down with some friends and try some great food! Trucks for this rodeo include American Meltdown, Dump Pho King, Barone Meatball and Chirba Chirba. Rodeo organizers are asking that you bring some canned vegetables to donate to the Durham Rescue Mission and NC Food Bank. Donations will be accepted at a large cargo truck parked next to the Subway on Fayetteville Street.

Super Hero Drag Bingo: The Alliance of Aids Services-Carolina is partnering with local Raleigh and Durham animal shelters for the Drag Bingo Event of the year this Saturday. The Bingo and Cabaret show begins at 7 p.m. at the Kerr Scott Building at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. Doors open at 5 p.m. and there is a pre-show at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25. Get ready for a great night and a great show. The BVD's (Bing Verifying Divas) really dazzle with their costumes, hairstyles and performances during this silly bingo game.

Crank Arm One Year Anniversary Bash: Local brewery Crank Arm is celebrating its one year anniversary Saturday with live music, special brews, food trucks and even a bounce house for the kids. The celebration begins at noon. 

Blind Pig Dinner: Another Blind Pig Dinner is happening in Raleigh this weekend. Dubbed "Rising Sun," Saturday night's dinner will feature a 12 courses of Japanese cuisine. Tickets are $90 each. 

Jamie Kennedy: The "Scream" star and comedian plays Goodnight's Comedy Club this weekend. He has shows Thursday through Saturday. Tickets are $20. 

The Be Loud! benefit concert is Friday and Saturday at Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill. The lineup includes The Pressure Boys, The Connells, Dexter Romweber Duo, Let's Active and A Number of Things. The shows are all ages will feature multiple stages. Food trucks will be on hand. Shows are Friday night at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. This is a benefit for Be Loud!, which supports adolescent and young adult cancer patients and their families at UNC Hospitals. Weekend passes are $40. Tickets for just Friday are $20. Saturday tickets are $25 each and only $10 if you only want to get into the matinee show. 

Country star Keith Urban brings his Raise 'Em Up Tour to Walnut Creek Amphitheater in Raleigh Friday night. Tickets are still available and start at about $38. 

Slightly Stoopid with Steve Marley and G. Love and the Special Sauce play Red Hat Amphitheater Friday night. 

Singer Keyshia Cole plays Durham Performing Arts Center Friday night. 

WRAL's Bill Leslie told me about this one: GLC Concert for a Cure to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society will be held at Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church in Durham. Show is at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Carolina Chocolate Drops play the NC Museum of Art Saturday night. 

The Country Music for a Cause fundraiser featuring Stefani Rose with PickleBack Shine is at the Pour House in Raleigh Sunday night.
