Florida man charged with embezzling $10,000 from Goldsboro nonprofit
A Florida man was charged for embezzling more than $10,000 from a nonprofit tennis organization in Goldsboro, police said.

Michael Boothman, 30, of Bladenton, Florida, was charged with felony embezzlement, according to the Goldsboro Police Department. Boothman was given a $1,500 secured bond.
On June 10, the Goldsboro Tennis Association filed a report in reference to someone embezzling $10,775, police said.
Boothman moved out of state before being identified as the suspect, police said. He turned himself in to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on July 7 after several attempts by police to arrest Boothman in Florida.
