CARY, N.C. — Doughnuts are having a big moment in the Triangle. In addition to Krispy Kreme and Dunkin', we are starting to see more local doughnut shops opening in the area.

Flip Side Donuts, located at 9958 Chapel Hill Road in the Cary, serves the classics like cinnamon sugar and glazed, but then amps it up with doughnuts filled with peaches, mangos and espresso buttercream and others covered in cereal. There are also vegan and gluten-friendly options on the menu.

Flip Side is open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Monday.
