Five arrested after robbery at Cumberland County hotel

Five people are accused of robbing customers at a Cumberland County hotel early Sunday. Police say the robbery happened at the Holiday Inn Express, 1706 Skibo Road, Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Five people are accused of robbing customers at a Cumberland County hotel early Sunday.

Police say the robbery happened at the Holiday Inn Express, 1706 Skibo Road, Fayetteville.

Lionel A. Telfort, 24; Donald Richard Gianessi, 22; Patrina Renee Corpus, 22; Elena Shenice Delca, 19; and Denae Jiton Blocker, 21, entered a hotel room and stole a laptop computer, a cell phone and a cell phone charger, police said.

The suspects were arrested a short time later at Skibo and Morganton roads, police said.

The suspects are facing numerous charges including first-degree burglary, robbery with a deadly weapon and second-degree kidnapping

Telfort is also accused of threatening the hotel occupants with a pistol, police said.

The suspected bonded out of Cumberland County Jail Sunday.  They are due in court Monday.
