ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Bones found recently by a fisherman belong to a woman who disappeared seven years ago, authorities said.

Latesha McNair, 21, disappeared from her Nash County home in early 2001. Her skull was found in a cemetery several months later, and authorities said it showed she had been beaten to death.

A search that included K-9s turned up no other bones at the time.

Last month, a fisherman found a jaw bone, ribs and a thigh bone near the Battleboro community, authorities said.  The jaw bone was identified as McNair's, they said.
