Fire Guts Senator's Restaurant on Coast

More than 50 firefighters from 10 departments responded to the fire, which was noticed by a passing motorist at about 12:45 a.m., authorities said.
Damage to the restaurant, a popular spot on the Outer Banks, was estimated at more than $1 million.
Nags Head Public Safety and the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating the cause of the fire.
