RALEIGH, N.C. — A fire broke out at a vacant home in Raleigh Sunday night, authorities said.

According to officials, the fire started at about 7:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Gannett Street.

Authorities said the home was for sale and vacant when the blaze broke out.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the fire, but the division chief said finding a cause will be a process.

"It takes time, but once they have everything under control then we will go in and just carefully sift through everything," Ronny Mizell with the Raleigh Fire Department. "They will search the building and collect information from neighbors and anyone around."

No further information was immediately available.
