DURHAM, N.C. — Firefighters extinguished a fire at a Durham adult care facility that broke out early Tuesday morning.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., crews received calls about a fire at the Forest Hills Adult Care Home on 1202 Arnette Avenue.

Around 25 Durham firefighters fought the blaze for around 2 hours before bringing extinguishing it, officials said.

Four patients were inside at the the time, but none suffered injuries, said the manager of the group home.

The interior fire was mostly confined to the kitchen and deck of the group home, but some flames spread to the attic, authorities said.
