Tailgate Rules
RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State University police said there were no major problems to report after the first football game of the season.

Thirty people were either thrown out of the stadium or tailgating area Saturday for violating rules. Two people were arrested. Police spokesman Jon Barnwell said the numbers are typical for the first football game.

Strict tailgating rules were put into place after two people were shot and killed before a game in 2004.

Those rules were recently relaxed to allow fans to tailgate five hours before kick-off instead of four. No kegs are allowed.
