Fayetteville teacher to be disciplined for classroom horror videos
A Fayetteville teacher who showed horror videos to students this week will have to apologize to parents and face other disciplinary action, officials said Thursday.

Isis Perez, a Spanish teacher at Pine Forest Middle School, showed three videos to dozens of students Tuesday to fill class time at the end of the school year.
Pamela and Daryll Packer said their 12-year-old son came home traumatized by the videos, one of which showed a demonic figure using balloons and candy to lure a young girl downstairs into her kitchen, where she saw her mother's body in a plastic bag.
"It really shocked me as an adult," said Daryll Packer, a three-time combat veteran. "Some things I can stomach, some things I can push aside. But I put myself in his shoes, and I could see why he was terrified."
Principal Billy Starks said the videos were inappropriate and hadn't been cleared by his office, so they shouldn't have been played.
Cumberland County Schools Superintendent Frank Till said Perez would write a letter of apology to the Packers, but he declined to say what other discipline she would face.
