FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were working Friday to identify a woman who they believe was involved in at last two armed robberies this month.

Police said that a woman robbed the Subway restaurant at 2908 Raeford Road on Aug. 14 and the Baskin Robbins on Owen Drive around 9:45 p.m. Aug. 18.

In both cases, the woman bought food, and when the cash register was opened, she pulled out a handgun and demanded money.

Police described the woman as white, in her late 20s or early 30s. She has brown hair, tan skin and light freckles.

During the Subway robbery, she wore a long, lavender dress with a matching scarf, police said. Witnesses described the Baskin Robbins robber as "looking as if she may be homeless."

Police said that she left the scene in a teal or green Nissan Altima and might be in the company of a man.

The investigation was ongoing.

Anyone with information about the robberies or suspect should call Fayetteville police at 910-433-1856 or 910-483-8467.
