Fayetteville police seek man who tried to rob Short Stop
Fayetteville police are seeking a suspect in an attempted robbery at the Short Stop convenience store Monday.

Police said a man approached the store manager at about 10:30 a.m. as he arrived to open the story at 1907 Ramsey St. According to a police report, the suspect held a gun to the victim's head, the two men struggled and the gun went off.
The victim suffered some scrapes, but the bullet did not hit him.
Police are looking for a black male suspect described as 6 feet tall, thin and wearing a military-style rain coat or hoodie. The suspect was see getting into an older model, silver or gray station wagon.
