Fayetteville police: Officer commits suicide
The Fayetteville Police Department said in a news release that an officer committed suicide on Wednesday at his home.

A Fayetteville police officer committed suicide on Thursday at his residence in Cumberland County, according to a news release from the police department.
Members of the Fayetteville Police Department are notifying the officer's family.
The incident is being investigated by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, which is standard practice.
