FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police said Friday that they had arrested a man suspected of robbing a Fayetteville bank Thursday afternoon.

A man walked into Carter Bank and Trust, at 697 Country Club Drive, shortly before 4 p.m., brandished a gun and demanded money, police said. He then fled in a black Nissan with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A short while later, police tried to stop a black Nissan near the intersection of Grove Street and Eastern Boulevard. After a short pursuit, officers were able to take the driver into custody, and they recovered money from the robbery, police said.

Terry G. Dunn, 47, of Bruce Drive in Dunn, was charged with common law robbery. He was released from the Cumberland County Detention Center after posting a $10,000 bond.
