Fayetteville authorities are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville authorities are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Thursday afternoon.

Investigators said the robbery occurred at around 2:20 p.m. at the Bank of America at  324 Mason St. A man walked in the bank, demanding money, authorities said.

Police said the man took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene in a red vehicle. There was no report of a weapon being used. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, measuring 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 150 to 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue coveralls and a baseball cap.
