FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Police are warning citizens of a new scam involving a secret shopper organization.

Victims receive letters in the mail from “Marketing Pulse International” informing them they’ve been selected to represent the company as a secret shopper, detectives said in a press release Friday.

Attached to the letter is what appears to be a valid cashier’s check from “Bank of Dudley,” in Dublin, Ga. made out to the victim.

The letter advises the shopper how to cash their check, what to do with the funds and explains how to receive more weekly checks.

Citizens are advised not to cash these checks.
