Fayetteville officer unhurt after car rammed in chase
A Fayetteville police officer was uninjured when his patrol car was rammed during a chase Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville police officer was uninjured when his patrol car was rammed during a chase Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Officers were trying to stop a Ford pickup for speeding shortly after 1:30 p.m., and the truck driver refused to pull over, police said. The truck ran into a police cruiser on the on-ramp of the All-American Freeway at Sante Fe Drive and continued driving.
The driver jumped from the truck after pulling into a cul-de-sac on Plateau Court, and officers arrested him after a brief chase on foot, police said.
The identities of the driver and the officer who was hit haven't been released.
