FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities have filed more charges against a Fayetteville man accused of sexually inappropriate behavior with a child.

Tony Daren Vanord, 46, of 3069 Gillespie St., was charged Saturday with three counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. He was being held Monday in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $65,000 bond.

Vanord was initially arrested on March 19 on charges of crimes against nature and first-degree statutory sex offense.

Authorities said he invited a 6-year-old boy into his camper and touched the boy inappropriately. The boy initially didn't report the alleged incident, investigators said, because Vanord’s camper was parked on property owned by the boy's family and Vanord threatened their lives.
