Fayetteville man charged with sex crimes in early November incident

A 33-year-old Fayetteville man has been charged with sex crimes in connection with an incident that allegedly took place on Nov. 4, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 33-year-old Fayetteville man has been charged with sex crimes in connection with an incident that allegedly took place on Nov. 4, police said.

Lamarcus Childress, of the 3400 block of McChoen Drive, is charged with attempted first-degree rape and second-degree rape. Authorities say he knew the victim of the alleged crime.

He was being held in the Cumberland County jail Tuesday under a $250,000 secured bond.

No other information about the incident has been released.
