A Fayetteville man has been charged with raping and impregnating a 12-year old girl, authorities said Thursday.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — A Fayetteville man has been charged with raping and impregnating a 12-year old girl, authorities said Thursday.

Christopher McLamb, 29, of 5509 Dudley Road, was charged with first-degree rape and other sex crimes.  He was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $100,000 secured bond.

A call from a concerned parent tipped investigators to the case, authorities said. McLamb was arrested at a friend’s home Wednesday night, they said.

The girl and her sister are in the custody of the Department of Social Services, authorities said.
