Fayetteville man accused of human trafficking

A Fayetteville man accused in a prostitution scheme involving an underage girl was arrested Monday, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office reported.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man accused in a prostitution scheme involving an underage girl was arrested Monday, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Franklin Robinson, 24, of the 100 block of Eastwood Drive, is charged with promoting prostitution and facilitating prostitution of a minor.

Investigators said Robinson used his cellphone to arrange for clients to meet the victim, a teenager, exchange for money. He is also accused of driving the victim to a motel room to engage in sex acts.

Robinson was held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $200,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.
