Fayetteville man accused of firing at passing trucker
A Fayetteville man shot into a passing truck last May and tried to kill the driver, Cumberland County detectives said Monday.

Investigators said that Michael Anthony Lee, 49, stood in his garage at 3136 Custer Ave. and fired a rifle at a truck passing by around 6 a.m. May 28.
The truck driver, Morris Taylor, 38, of Fayetteville, said that he thought one of his tires had blown out, so he stopped. When he got out of the truck, he heard another gunshot and saw a man firing at him. Taylor ran into nearby woods for safety as the man kept firing at him.
Lee was arrested Monday on an attempted first-degree murder charge and four counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
He was given a $35,000 bond and placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center. His first court appearance was set for July 2.
