Fayetteville garbage truck runs over, kills worker
A Fayetteville sanitation worker died Tuesday after being run over by the truck on which he was working, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville sanitation worker died Tuesday after being run over by the truck on which he was working, authorities said.
Jordan Nanney, 20, was riding on the back of the garbage truck in the Birch Creek neighborhood, off Lakewood Road, when he fell off shortly before 8:30 a.m., authorities said.
Driver Wilbert Gardner didn't see Nanney fall and backed the truck over him, killing him, authorities said.
