Fayetteville bank robbed

A man walked into the First Citizens Bank branch at 130 Grove St. in Fayetteville shortly after 3:30 p.m., handed a note to a teller demanding money and fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police were searching for a man who robbed a Fayetteville bank Tuesday afternoon.

A man walked into the First Citizens Bank branch at 130 Grove St. shortly after 3:30 p.m., handed a note to a teller demanding money and fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The robber was last seen fleeing the bank on foot and possibly getting into a light blue sedan.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477).
