Father runs over toddler with pickup
A 2-year-old Robeson County boy was killed late Friday when his father hit him with a pickup truck, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedREX, N.C. — A 2-year-old Robeson County boy was killed late Friday when his father hit him with a pickup truck, authorities said.
Cristian Fuentes was in the path of the truck driven by Sabino Fuentes, 32, outside the family's home as 466 Usher Road in Rex, according to the Highway Patrol. It was unclear if the truck was moving forward or backing up at the time.
The parents rushed the boy to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
No charges have been filed in the case, which remains under investigation.
