Man killed in early morning crash in north Raleigh
One man was killed early Friday in a wreck that forced authorities to close a portion of North New Hope Road near Capital Boulevard, Raleigh police said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — One man was killed early Friday in a wreck that forced authorities to close a portion of North New Hope Road near Capital Boulevard, Raleigh police said.
A Mitsubishi SUV driven by Christian Sanchez, 22, left the roadway shortly after 4:30 a.m. and struck a tree near Green Acres Lane, police said. Sanchez was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road reopened at about 8 a.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
