Jennifer Shryock, founder of Family Paws and a Cary mom of four, is back today with another tip for families with dogs and babies and young children.
Shryock has built a program that now is offered by 120 licensed presenters around the country. She's a recognized expert on child-dog interactions. Read more about her in my earlier post.

Today, Shryock talks about the importance of including your dog in family life with babies and young children.

"We don't want to shut them outside, we don't want to stick them in the room," Shryock said. "We want to find ways to safely include them."

Watch the video to learn more about ways to include a dog in family life when you bring baby home. Shryock talks about the use of baby slings and indoor tethers, which she calls success stations.

For more tips from Shryock, check the box above and go to the Family Paws' website. Shyrock will offer a final tip on Go Ask Mom next Wednesday.
