I wrote about Nido in Durham last week. The business offers co-working space for adults and childcare for their kids in the same building. It's designed for parents who work from home.
Nido offers regular events for its co-working members and the public. Here's what's coming up in the next month or so. Nido's website has details, including registration information.
  • Aug. 26, What is giftedness? An information session and discussion with education specialist Meg Hoffman, M.A.Ed
  • Sept. 1, Freelancer Show and Tell with Uncompany. Three freelancers share their journeys of how they developed their freelance careers.
  • Sept. 13, Writing and Reading from Life, a memoir writing workshop with author Joanna Penn Cooper, Ph.D. American Literature, MFA Creative Writing.
  • Sept. 26, Family Art Day, come see the bold and beautiful paintings of Hillsborough-based artist Shannon Fitzgerald. There will be art-themed story time and a children's painting project with the artist.
