Fathers and sons can actually camp out overnight in a special Father-Son Camp Out at the Chick-fil-A in Raleigh's Falls Village shopping center  this month.

The event starts after 7 p.m., Friday, April 27, and ends by 8 a.m., Saturday, April 28.

Activities will include a climbing wall, bounce house, jousting ring, campfire with s'mores and more. The cost is $25 per father and son ($5 for each additional son). That covers the activities, along with dinner, a midnight dessert and breakfast.

Participants will need to bring a modestly sized tent with sleeping gear, including an air mattress. The tents will be in the parking lot, I'm told. An off-duty police officer also will be on site during the event.
