Looking for one place to go for movie listings, restaurant recommendations, live music performances and concert date? You've found it.

Welcome to Out & About, a new section on WRAL.com that helps answer the age-old question: "What is there to do?"

For years, WRAL.com has provided movie listings, a community calendar and a listing of arts and entertainment events in the Triangle. But these offerings were all on different pages of the site, had limited search capabilities, and didn't help you locate events near your home or office.

Out & About brings all of that information, plus restaurants and bars, into one database. Browse by category and narrow your results using convenient filters, such as city names, food cuisines and movie genres. Or search with keywords and zip codes. We've partnered with several data providers plus local organizations, such as the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Convention and Visitors Bureau, to offer a rich set of entertainment options in the Triangle and beyond.

Each Out & About database listing comes with an interactive Google map. Simply enter your address and get turn-by-turn directions to a new restaurant or unfamiliar music venue. Want an easy way to store the address and phone number you just found? Send it to your phone or an e-mail account.

You can help make Out & About better by providing your recommendations (there's a link on every listing page) or by submitting events of interest. The link to the submission form is under the category list on the section front.
