Chefs from all 32 NFL cities will have tables offering food and wine pairings at the party. (Charlotte Chef Cory Sharpe is representing the Carolina Panthers.) Each table will also have an athlete on hand.
The chefs from Raleigh are joining a table operated by the Chef's Academy, which also has an Indianapolis campus. They will provide appetizers and desserts.
Boyers said it is the first time a group outside of the NFL cities has a table at the event.
Celebrity guests attending Saturday's fundraiser include Miss America Laura Kaeppeler, stars from TLC's "Cake Boss" and the Food Network's Ted Allen. Country singer Sara Evans will perform.
The Chef's Academy opened in Raleigh in August. In future years, Boyers said they will send more chefs and some students.
