Elon Musk's $11B tax bill - here's why he's paying so much

Where is Elon Musk's private jet? It's a topic of much debate on Twitter.

Needless to say, Musk isn't happy about that.

It's because of a 19-year-old University of Central Florida freshman named Jack Sweeney.

Sweeney is using public data from the Federal Aviation Administration to track the plane and then tweets out the location.

Sweeney shared some direct messages with USA TODAY when Musk asked him to stop.

Musk asked Sweeney how he is able to track the jet, then offered him $5,000 to remove the account.

Knowing the Tesla CEO is the wealthiest man in the world, Sweeney countered with $50,000 to help pay for school and a car.

After that, Musk apparently gave up and just told Sweeny to accept bitcoin payments others have offered him to keep the account open.

It has more than 90,000 followers.

Sweeney said he never intended to create a security concern.
