FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Initial findings indicate that an electrical system fire is to blame for the blaze that destroyed Fort Bragg's All-American band building on July 2, according to Fort Bragg officials.

A more detailed finding will be made in about 30 days when the report is completed.

The fast-moving fire struck the building, known as A-T building 1541 at Longstreet Road and Keerans Street.

The 82nd Airborne Division band lost more than $1 million worth of instruments, uniforms, sheet music and other equipment two days before its Independence Day concert.
